Also known as parent - focused
therapy, this type of therapy helps parents address their child\\'s behavioural
and psychological challenges the goal is to improve the parent - child
relationship, identify family patterns, and modify parenting practices . parent-
oriented therapy helps parents and families improve their relationships and
overcome challenges.
Some areas of focus in parent-
oriented therapy include:
·
problem solving : developing solutions to common
parenting challenges .
·
Strategy development: creating strategies to meet the family\\'s
specific needs.
·
Family conflict resolution: mediating and resolving conflicts to create a harmonious home
environment.
·
Developmental education : educating parents on age - appropriate
behaviours and milestones.
~Parent - oriented therapy :
parents themselves choose therapy for their children. Parents themselves tell
the problems and give the solutions themselves. Due to which the therapist
faces problems . He himself is not able to work on the problems of the child as
per his wish . Due to which time is wasted . The child does not get the right
therapy according to his problems at the right time. This is reason why only
less then 50% of parent- oriented therapy results are visible.
Child- oriented therapy : the therapist himself finds solutions to the
challenges faced by the children. He gives therapy to the children based on their needs . This does not
waste time .90 to 95 % correct results of child oriented therapy are seen .
This brings a lot of improvement in children.
