How serious is the speech delay? Speech delays can be a warning sign of more serious problems including hearing loss, developmental delays in other areas of the brain, or even autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Language delays in early childhood can be a sign of a learning problem that may not be diagnosed until the school years. Speech delay does not mean that a child has autism. Many parents think that speech delays can affect children\'s intelligence, but this is not true and there is no research to prove that a child has a low IQ. Reason :- Sometimes speech can be delayed due to parental neglect, abuse or incidents that are a situation that can really affect children\'s development. Speech delay or language delay is definitely not the parents\' fault. Speech delays can occur due to not speaking to children correctly and clearly. Speech delay causes oral motor problems such as feeding and swallowing problems. This happens when there is a problem with the part of the brain that is responsible for speaking. This makes it difficult to coordinate the lips, tongue, and jaw to make different speech sounds. Lack of sleep causes speech to become slower, softer, and have unexpected breaks in rhythm. Slurred speech and slurring due to lack of sleep can also be annoying. Speech delay at age:- A child has a speech delay when mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa are unable to say simple words clearly or indistinctly at the age of 12 to 15 months. A child has speech delays when he or she cannot understand simple words like yes or no and stops and walks away. Too much screen time means developmental delays in children. A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association of Pediatrics states that 1-year-olds Excessive screen time in children can affect developmental delays in communication and problem-solving. Children who have up to 2 hours of screen time per day at age one are more likely to have communication delays at age 2. Symptoms of speech delay:- 1) When children leave out words in sentences. 2) The inability to choose words and combine them into a sentence is a sign of language delay. 3) Not babbling by 9 months. 4) Not saying a word and not saying a word before 15 months. 5) No specific words or consistent words by 18 months. Concerned about speech delay:- 1) By age 2, parents should understand about 50% of their child\'s speech. 2) By age 3, parents should understand 75% of their child\'s speech. 3) At the age of 4, the child should be able to understand everything in society and by those who do not know the child. Treatment: :- 1) Talk to your child, sing songs and encourage word restriction. 2) Start reading and encourage the child to look at the picture as you name it. 3) In speech therapy, the therapist will teach the child how to use their tongue to make different sounds. 4) Encourage your child to communicate with everyone through gestures or words. 5) Spend a lot of time reading and talking to your child. 6) Speech therapy is very helpful and effective for children to improve communication and language skills. 7) Speech therapy can improve children\'s quality of life. 8) Speak to your child in a simple language that he can easily understand and communicate with. 9) Use parallel words to describe what the children are doing while playing. 10) When talking to your child, expand the language into longer phrases so that he can easily understand and communicate. 11) Make the child hear the sounds in his own way. For example: Who 12) Advise parents to do oromotor exercises for speech therapy. 13) Focus on communication skills and language skills. 14) Keep the background with a variety of noises and distractions for a minimum amount of time during learning sessions and at other times as well. 15) Focus on what the child can do instead of focusing on what he or she can\'t do. 16) Create a daily routine for your child and regularly practice words and sentences that he has difficulty speaking and understanding. 17) Pay attention to hearing words and sentences clearly when your child is speaking. 18) Speech therapists help children learn how to produce words correctly and fluently.
