Training to help people with speech and language problems to speak more clearly. Speech therapy is the assessment and treatment of communication problems and speech disorders. It is performed by a speech-language pathologist. Speech therapy is used for speech or communication disorders. Children suffering from pronunciation problems. Children having autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and hearing impairment suffer from speech disorders. Speech disorders also consist of stammering and stuttering. At the age of 2 years, a child should speak 2-4 words like mumma, dada, appa (apple), bananana (banana), boo (ball), etc., but children with speech disorders take too long to speak these words. Speech therapist works with tongue, muscular and oral exercises for stammerers and speech-delayed children. In speech therapy, verbal and nonverbal equipment are used. Equipment or skills used for therapy are reading, communication, etc.
