CHOLESTEATOMA are usually associated with CHRONIC OTITIS MEDIA , and with PERFORATION and retracted ear drum . They also occur in a small percentage of patients and can develope in the middle ear , ear drum. The most common site for Cholesteatoma is Pars Flaccida and Marginal Perforation. The aggressive capability makes the Cholesteatoma a life threatening lesion that must be removed surgically.
