SELECTION OF A HEARING AID-it is the duty of AUDIOLOGIST to find out the proper indication and selection of cases to get the maximum benefit from the HEARING AID. Most of the selection are done from the audiogram (PTA and speech Audiometry). Many of the patient with SNHLdo not find the hearing aid convenient and can not tolerate because of the poor speech discrimination score. To avoid this;patients can be prescribed for DIGITAL HEARING AID to minimize the tolerance.
