TINNITUS and Hyperacusis are too challenging issues in audiology as patient can be desperate. TINNITUS can be defined as a preception of sound (it must be heard), In voluntary, originating in the head whereas Hyperacusis can involve loudness, annoyance, fear and pain. Hearing loss can also produced Tinnitus. The main causes are noise exposure, aging, head injury and medications. Some times the causes are unknown.
